April Updates

Dear Yoga Students,

Due to the uncertainty of when we can open safely, I have decided not to open up at the Oak Street location.Too many months are going by with the space remaining empty. Creating a small studio space feels like the best next step.

Thus, in the meantime, between now and safe opening, I am working on an in – home studio, yoga privates, and three on-line yoga classes. Please consider joining a zoom class as technology is proving to be a good platform to stay connected to the unique depth that our Iyengar yoga practice offers.
If you are taking the zoom classes, email your requests! Include days of the week, time of day, and topic if you want a specific theme covered. I will add more classes as I see what you are interested in.

Stay at home yoga class via Zoom
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
8-9:15 am

Class changes for February:

Wednesday February 19; Josine will teach the noon class and Carole will teach the evening 5:30 pm class as I will be in PA study with Rebecca and Dean Lerner.

A special THANK YOU!  to Paige for teaching the Saturday Donation Yoga Classes. These are on-going classes from 9:30-10:45 am every Saturday. These classes are open to all levels. In the last 4 months the class donated $200 to SAVA, ( helping sexual assault victims) and $200 for immigration ( pre-paid phone cards for detainees to call their lawyer and loved ones).  Thank you everyone for your support of this donation class, – it helps us see who our fellow human beings are, and in the giving we find out that like us, everyone can use a little help.

CLASS UPDATES

SEPTEMBER UPDATES

CLASSES CANCELLED MONDAY SEPTEMBER 3 FOR THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY

Saturdays 9:30-11:45 am Donation Class—All levels

A few words on Donation Saturday…

This class represents a new beginning for our yoga studio as all money generated goes back into helping those around us. It is one way we can reach non-profit groups who are already helping others. The money goes to a different non-profit every 2-3 months. The class is donation only, and the non-profits are all in Ft. Collins. The class is taught by a variety of teachers; Paige, Josine, and Cathy.

The spirit behind Donation Saturday is to participate in an  exchange of energy between our selves and the Ft. Collins community.  Students pay any amount of their choice, the teachers give by teaching for free, and the money raised goes to a non-profit group in Ft. Collins to help people we live next to, or step over, or don’t even see.

The donations for the next several months go to support the non-profit SAVA.
SAVA is the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center, a non-profit that provides counseling and therapy services, a 24-hour Rape Crisis Hot Line, community education, and violence prevention education

The last donations raised $200 for the Friends of Ferrals cat spay and neuter program. Keep up the good work, Leslie, and Friends of Leslie!

Sunday’s Asana and Pranayama class is temporarily cancelled. Stay tuned as this class will be offered again.

From Cathy; “Go to the mat and practice. Even one pose can turn the tide on a sluggish day, sad heart, or tumultuous mind”
