The Iyengar Method of Yoga has a sequence of learning, starting from the Basics of how to jump or step into a pose and make your legs and arms straight, to how to twist safely from the base of your spine, all the way up to how to stand on your head and spin your legs this way and that way while staying vertical, stable, and collected.
To help you on the Iyengar Path, distinct levels of classes are in place to guide you methodically on your way:
BASICS: Learn the fundamentals of yoga asanas
LEVEL I: Refine the basics in standing poses, seated poses, twists
LEVEL II: Introducing Inversions and Back extensions
LEVEL III: Longer holdings in poses and more advanced poses are introduced.
